Paid ​Positions: 

TEACHERS ($600/week)
Open positions to teach 1st - 7th grade level math and reading. We are looking for someone with educational background and/or experience (but not limited to these experiences). There are two skit practices weekly after the camp day, usually on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 3:15 - 4:45pm. If you're a parent or have a physical disability, you may be exempt from the skit. All teachers must participate in the Summer Ministry Training Program which includes a 3-night staff retreat in June. Please see the training schedule at the bottom of this page.

TEACHING ASSISTANTS (TAs) ($350/week)
Open positions to assist grade level teachers with classroom management, camper counseling, and accommodating the needs of campers. TAs must at least be entering 12th Grade. All TAs will participate in Summer Day Camp skits. There are two skit practices weekly after the camp day, usually on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 3:15 - 4:45pm. All TAs must also participate in the Summer Ministry Training Program which includes a 3-night staff retreat in June. Please see the training schedule at the bottom of this page.

Volunteer ​Positions: 

 TASKFORCE
Open positions for Taskforce. Taskforce members are an integral part of the SDC team. They maintain the transition & flow of all camp programs and ensure that everything is running smoothly. They assist with morning setup, cleaning, and running necessary tasks to promote a safe and efficient working environment. Volunteers must at least be entering into 8th grade and be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days/week. Before camp begins, there are four mandatory meetings for all Taskforce members. Please have your youth group Pastor send their recommendation letter to [email protected].

Summer Ministry Training Program (SMTP)

To be a part of the Summer Day Camp Team, is to serve in summer ministry. We believe it's imperative for our teachers to be equipped with the tools and knowledge to serve our campers; therefore, we are committed to training and preparing our staff for SDC. All staff members (teachers and teaching assistants) are REQUIRED to complete the Summer Ministry Training Program (SMTP) which includes a 3-night staff retreat. Part-time teachers and teachers with children may be exempt from the staff retreat and may participate in the SMTP via zoom. We ask all staff members to commit to every meeting in order for us to grow and prepare for SDC together. Volunteers will have a separate training.
