MPC SDC is administered by the Senior Pastor of Montgomery Presbyterian Church, Rev. Hanks Choi. He is an ordained minister of the Korean American Presbyterian Church.
SDC Director Daniel Choi is a Temple graduate (Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Education), has a Masters degree in Education, and currently a mathematics teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. He has a military background, enjoys sports, and loves working with children. He began serving SDC as a teacher in 2009. Three years later in 2012, he began to manage the programming of SDC along with being a camp teacher. It was challenging, but by the grace of God, he learned how to be a better program director, connect with campers and staffs, and teach with greater passion. He wants to help students recognize their potentials to do great things through academic excellence and help students believe in themselves despite their weaknesses. "Helping students to learn and grow last year was a phenomenal experience because each student was unique and special and I have learned to appreciate them for who they are.
